Why a Fan Isn’t Necessary

Some may wonder about thermal management, especially with a device built around the Raspberry Pi. Here’s the simple answer: fans aren’t needed. The Raspberry Pi 3B+ comes with built-in thermal protection that automatically throttles the CPU if temperatures rise too high. This means the system remains safe even under extended use, as the Stratux program (which drives the device’s functionality) uses minimal processing power. The maximum operating temperature for a Raspberry Pi is around 85°C (185°F), and thanks to its smart thermal controls, there’s no risk of overheating that would justify an added fan.

Thermal Throttling Explained:
When the Raspberry Pi detects high temperatures, it automatically reduces CPU speed to prevent damage. This built-in safeguard ensures that performance remains stable and that the system never reaches critical temperatures.
